  Recently Google Camera 8.1 was rolled out for the Pixel 4a and Pixel 5, which now has an added ‘Storage Saver’ mode. This new feature can be found under the recently introduced ‘Storage’ section. The ‘Storage Saver’ mode was set to be originally released with the Google Camera 8.0 but was then announced to be released later on. The ‘Storage Saver’ mode was set to be debuted as ‘Low Storage Mode’ in Google Camera 8.0, but the idea was then rejected; however, it can finally be seen in version 8.1, but with a different name. According to Artem Russakovskii of Android Police and Mishaal Rahman of XDA, this new feature can be seen in the Pixel 4XL and Pixel 5, both with Google Camera 8.1.
